Dr. Tau Braun to join FEMA for NYC ICP Workshop in August

Dr. Tau Braun, Executive Director of the Violence Prevention Agency, will join a panel of experts at the 2014 FEMA Region II Individual and Community Preparedness (ICP) Workshop, on August 13, 2014. The panel discussion will discuss Strategies for Strengthening Preparedness and Resilience in Higher Education Institutions. Dr. Braun will provide insight on Active Shooter Prevention and Response, Mass Casualty events, Threat Management and other related topics.

About the 2014 FEMA Region II ICP August 12 & 13, 2014 Workshop

The Individual and Community Preparedness (ICP) Workshop will present best practices and lessons learned for preparing the whole community from the following sectors: Public, Private, Access and Functional Needs, Faith-Based Organizations, Voluntary Organizations, Higher Education, and Youth Groups. This whole community approach ensures that through collaboration, individuals and communities will be better prepared and more resilient.
